Lawn Hill

Right before crossing the Queensland border to the Northern Territory, past Mount Isa, there is a mandatory, three hour detour that everyone traveling across the desert from the east coast should take. We didn’t even know about it, but we met so many Aussies that came all the way from Melbourne or Sydney just to spend five days in Lawn Hill.
